Who We Are

People of Yuma Health Association or POYHA, is a non profit organization established in Yuma Ariazona. It’s motto is to involve people of Yuma in promoting health by preventing diseases.

POYHA or People of Yuma Health Association was co-founded by Dr. Nadia Hanif. She is an Internist and has been in day-to-day operations of our medical practice as well as a dedicated community worker. Per her majority of diseases patients have now been linked with obesity and thus those conditions can be prevented and cured by having patients lose weight. This improvement in health will decrease hospitalization and will in turn reduce health care expenses.

Dr. Hanif is passionate about improving the economy of Yuma, this will be accomplished by improving health care in Yuma and thus enhancing medical tourism to Yuma and its neighboring cities.
